Enjoy peace and tranquility at this 5 acre residence, on a mountainside, overlooking the city, while swimming in our pool, or relaxing in our spa. The National Park is your backyard! Boasting 2,387 sq ft, an open layout, vaulted ceilings, and massive windows throughout. Explore Joshua Tree National Park’s 49 Palms Oasis trail, located less than 1-mile from the house. An ideal vacation for 6 people or less over 25 yrs old to “unplug” and get away from fast- paced living.
The Space
Our home is made out of lava rocks, with the border of Joshua Tree National Park as your backyard, and panoramic views of the city from the front yard. The house has a large open entertainment-friendly layout downstairs with expansive windows to take in the views from all directions and two large bedrooms upstairs with ensuite bathrooms. The house sits high on a mountain side with plenty of privacy, peace, and quiet.
Guest Access
The entire house, along with five private acres of land, is yours to enjoy and explore! You can walk or drive to the 49 Palms Oasis trailhead, just under a mile away.
Other Things to Note:
The driveway is steep and gated. Young children or elderly may find it challenging to walk. We have the latest Starlink satellite internet. While the WiFi may not be as fast as hardwired internet due to the home's location, it is suitable for remote work. The pool is heated only by natural sunlight. We provide one set of towels per guest.

This is a quiet neighborhood with acres between most houses making it very tranquil. It is not uncommon to hear coyotes howling in the distance and see quail scurrying around the house.
The house sits about a mile between the grocery store and a small market. Rural area.

Jenny is a wonderful host who is super responsive and helpful. Her directions were great, and this place is very special. It’s amazing when you realize while driving that the house you see in the distance, way up on the mountain, is where you’re headed ! The views are incredible and at night you can see all the city before you. 49 palms oasis hike is right beside you, which is an amazing hike to do before sunset.
Jenny was an all star host from beginning to end. She was proactive, great communication, generous and accommodating with my specific needs + had the perfect balance of being there for us, as well as leaving us be.
The house and location was exactly as described. We had everything we needed. Breathtaking views. The location is magical + truly special. I will be back soon. Ten out of ten.
A perfect get-away. Beautiful, expansive, inspiring views. Great hiking just down the road (walkable from the house). Delicious ribs a shirt drive away (had to go back a second night). Hot tub to melt into after an active day. Jenny was super responsive and helpful when planning out the day. Her home was unique and comfortable. Something to write home about.

Exceeded expectations, including the host proactively reaching out to ask if we would like to arrive early. You are right on edge of a breathtaking oasis hike and feel very much in nature. One of our party was working remotely and was impressed with the Starlink internet, which worked flawlessly at 50-100 mbps speeds with Wi-Fi covering the whole property.
This property is simply STUNNING!!!! The views from this spot will take your breath away!!! There are plenty of places to enjoy the beautiful scenery from both inside and outside the house as there are multiple patios, a hot tub and pool and floor to ceiling windows. The property backs to Joshua Tree National Park and there is a beautiful trail that is located right down the road. Easy access to everything, an abundance of adventure to be had on and near the property, and the perfect spot to make memories that’ll last a lifetime. Do not miss your opportunity to book this place, you will not regret it for a single second!! We can’t wait to come back!!
Oh my gosh - i don't know what to say about this place.... other than if you have the opportunity to stay here, JUMP AT THE CHANCE! To start with, Jenny was the most gracious and accommodating host - it honestly felt like we were friends staying at her home. As I sit here, I am trying to think of what to start with...and it has to be the view - the pictures don't do it justice - waking up and having coffee in the kitchen, looking over the valley is something I will never forget. It felt like you had views everywhere...from the bedrooms, kitchen, living room, pool, etc. The second thing is the house - oh my gosh I felt like a rock star staying in it...it was spacious, well laid out, equipped from top to bottom (everything you could need), incredibly clean (how in the world do you keep all of those windows cleaned) and had such a good comfortable style. I am going to run out of room to write the rest - so just know this is the place to stay if you are going to palm springs.
The best places to stay on airbnb are the ones that end up even better than the pictures. Showing up at Jenny's place, I was surprised by how spacious and well equipped it was. It made my last minute birthday getaway the best yet and Jenny was extremely accommodating to my needs
